What can I do besides studying Pharm...?

On a crisp, October afternoon, a poor nursing college study sat, diligently studying, for the Pharm test looming in the near future. After hours and hours of endless work, and the feel of migraine attack coming on without the access to a serotonin agonist that causes vasoconstiction like a triptan, this nursing student decided that it would be a good idea to take a break. Trying to come up with something productive to do in the meantime, a brilliant idea came! "Let's try and figure out how to use the University of Utah College of Nursing Class of 2013 student's blog".

However, this idea almost backfired when the stress of navigating through the BlogSpot turned out to be harder then cramming hundreds upon hundreds of MOA's and side effects into an already crammed head. But thank goodness for critical thinking eh?! Using some swift mental maneuvering, the solution of how to use the BlogSpot was discovered!! (Good job Diana! *high-five*)

If none of you have figured it out yet, this is Diana. So, I hope this is a good enough first post on our awesome BlogSpot for ya, Liana.

Heyyyyyy

Hey everyone I finally figured out how to work this thing....kinda. But yeah we need more pictures posted so if you have them please post them, it will be cool to look back and see everything we've done over the course of nursing school. I don't have a good camera on my phone or I would but I really like this blog. Keep it up and going strong. Like they always say "early bird gets the worm"..... i'll let you think about that one.

pretty much, we are professional at hanging IV bags and picc line dressing changes!
Thanks Melody!

also, we are freaking professionals at giving flu shots!
you can't see it very clearly, but we are proud of our SN initials!

a note on professionalism:

no comment.
except that we love her :)

Meet us, and Mr. W/Liana

We're the VA2 clinical group. and pretty much the best.
We all helped "Mr. W." today in simulation, which is pretty much the coolest thing to me.
(don't mind me with my eyes closed)

one thing I will say though:
I LOVE our group. :) I love that we can tease each other and have fun all the time and that we're just so united. :)
we're just great! even though we're a little rough around the edges. :) haha

I kinda hate following people around like an idiot! (Christie's first inspirational post)

I feel like we all look so silly walking along like "follow the leader" around the hospital.  We are in the way and nobody seems to like us.  If only they would stop and talk to us for 2 minutes, they would discover that we are pretty much amazing and we are the future of America:)

It also has to be said that we suck and we are never prepared...and by we.....I mean the VA2 group.  Stupid Canvas!  I miss WebCT.  Or even better, we could just go old school and forget about homework and just show up to class in our cute hats and dresses:)

in topic of ears

so today, our clinical instructor was talking to us about having big ears.
(when listening to report and assessing our patients, you know!)

but seriously, this image popped into my brain.
don't blames me for my thought process when I wake up at 5:30 am.

I also found this cute baby with large ears for laughs.

and of course,
who doesn't love dobby? (and HP?)

in other note, anyone else seriously confused about clinicals/lab/sim assignments?
I don't get it. the end.

beginning of an era/Liana

first post!

the purpose of this blog is to record our thoughts and memories through nursing school. and probably mostly for humor. and to let the public know you're in good hands (because nursing school at the U is intense!)

pretty much I love the the group of people I'm going to school with for the next two years!

but I'm exhausted from being sick so I'm peacing out.
